Musica in the Snow
Nashville
2015

Musica is a sculpture at one end of Nashville’s famed Music Row, overlooking the fast-growing Demonbreun Hill neighborhood. The bronze sculpture by Alan LeQuire sits in a grassy knoll at the center of the Music Row Roundabout at Buddy Killen Circle, across from Owen Bradley Park in the Music Row area of Nashville, Tennessee. Musica is often referred to as “the naked people” by Nashville locals. The Demonbreun Hill neighborhood, which overlooks downtown Nashville, has been enjoying a renaissance in recent years with an influx of bars, restaurants, shops, and upscale condos and apartments.

I photographed Musica during a snowstorm late one night in January 2015. This image is featured in the March 2015 issue of Nashville Arts magazine.

Prints available, on archival fine-art quality “exhibition lustre” paper, in multiple sizes.
