« Nagin's Failures: Perspective | Main | Victims Rights Activist Endorses Bryant's Senate Bid » September 7, 2005Titans TripLast Thursday my wife and I got to go to the Tennessee Titans' final pre-season game, against the Green Bay Packers (thanks to Mike Sechrist at WKRN!). We parked across the river from the stadium, near First Baptist Church which is about five blocks from the river, and then walked through downtown - past the Country Music Hall of Fame and the under-construction Schermerhorn Symphony Hall, and then over the Shelby Street pedestrian bridge to the stadium. I recommend the wlk - you get a great view of the downtown skyline and the stadium, and a sense of the energy and vitality of downtown Nashville. Here are a progression of photos from the evening...

Bill: Great photos! Beautiful skyline we have here. Do you remember whose idea it was to build the stadium you had such a good time visiting last week? Whose idea it was to build the arena? Who encouraged the Country Music Hall of Fame to move downtown? Whose idea it was to save and rehab the Shelby St Bridge? Whose idea it was to build the Gateway Bridge? His initials are PNB. Didn't you feel a little hypocritical while you enjoyed all of these things, since you appear to spend such a large amount of your time bashing the guy on this blog? Just wondering. Again, the photos are great. Thanks for sharing. Posted by: Robert at September 8, 2005 10:33 PMPost a comment
