Using your son's honor and memory is shameful enough. But when Mrs. Sheehan and company use the honor and memory of other fallen soldiers for their protest of crosses without the permission of the family, it becomes a new low, even for the left.

Apparently, those who claim an "absolute moral authority" have their judgement clouded.

Just a heads up to liberals--you won't be welcome there. They were calling liberals every bad thing in the book, and I asked if there was room for a civilized discussion, and got called more names.

Perhaps "Mike's America" can take a page from this blog, which has shown when we work together on issues where we can agree or serve our readers better, we're all stronger--such as meeting with 06 candidates. All of us benefit from that...especially our readers.

I was hoping you might be one of the rare liberal exceptions capable of explaining your take on the life and death issues we face without the doublespeak that seems to permeate your bunch.

Sharon, let's start anew... Perhaps you can give me a well reasoned argument for why you feel it is appropriate for Code Pink protestors to line up mock caskets outside Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington where our troops are recovering?

Mike...How dare you imply I called you names? You know I never said the things you stated above, yet you imply I called you those things. Furthermore, as a Jew, I am offended when anyone throws around the word "Nazi," and it's deeply troubling to me you would imply I did so.
At NO time, did I do so with you or anyone else,nor would I unless they were actually A Nazi...as in the monsters who extinguished some of my family in Poland and Germany.

Secondly, in your myopic world, you don't see all liberals, (just like all conservatives) are NOT alike. NO where do I defend Code Pink. If you actually bothered to read my blog, you'd see that I took a very strong stand against Sheehan. In fact, I've taken strong stands against several liberals or Democrats. No one speaks for me.

I've had a really really rough week with Republicans,particularly one person from a site in Tennessee, and I extended a genuine offer of a dialogue with you. This constant barrage of negativity is not good for me.

You did NOT make those remarks, and seemed to wish to make a civil contribution to the discussion.

However, since then, with comments like "
rude, rude, rude" You appear more interested in name calling than your earlier comments suggest.

You may have visited a Nazi death camp, as have I. I have written posts on my visit to Dachau and included photos. That camp was the first. The horror of the holocaust and the evil of Nazi facism could have been stopped with minimal effort in 1937.

Yet any effective effort at opposing Hitler's rearmament and march into the Rhineland was opposed by the "peace at any price" crowd.

Are we not in a similar situation today? There are people who willfully overlook the danger of the enemy we face and prefer instead to refer to President Bush as a "warmonger" just as they did to Winston Churchill when he sounded the tocsin in the 1930's.

As a Jew, I don't need to tell you that you are target #1 in the Islamofascist plan to subjugate all other religions to Islam.

But as someone who has seen the horror of a pogrom firsthand, I don't intend to wait until they come after me next.
