« One in Four? | Main | Ethics Failure » August 16, 2005A Positive Development?Via Cranium.net I find this: The city of New London, Connecticut, isn't satisfied with just winning the Kelo case and the right to take seven homes by eminent domain for the purpose of giving them to a private developer - it wants the homeowners to pay five years' worth of back rent to the city because, the city contends, it has actually owned the homes since it began eminent domain proceedings nearly five years ago. Digusting. What was it, again, that Harold Ford Jr. found so "positive" about the Kelo ruling? Update: Good discussion in the comments threat at Reason.com. Posted in Property Rights/Kelo

You do know, don't you, how George W. Bush got rich? Posted by: Dave Johnson at August 16, 2005 05:03 PMI refrained from posting all day expecting Chris D. Jackson to bust in and smack down your little jab against Conressman Ford Jr. I suppose Jr.'s Kelo ramblings are a bit tough for our man Chris to defend. Keep it up, Mr. Hobbs. You'll get Mr. Jackson to chime in sooner or later. Posted by: kafir memphian at August 17, 2005 01:32 AMPost a comment
