« Bryant On Justice Sunday, Kelo and the Main Reason He Ought to Be Tennessee's Next U.S. Senator | Main | One in Four? »

Like School in the Summer Time

Blake Wylie :

Liberal blogger Sharon Cobb is scolding Harold Ford, Jr. today for blowing her off over the weekend ...and rightly so. He was supposed to have a quick phone interview with her, but his press secretary said he couldn't make the time due to "family issues" and never got back with her on Sunday. Interestingly enough, she notes that he apparently left an event on Saturday using that same excuse but kept showing up at other events throughout the middle Tennessee area.
That's a pretty good summary of Ford's less-than-classy treatment of Cobb. Wylie has some additional comments.

I had hoped to invite Ford to speak at a future Nashville area political bloggers' lunch, but now I have to wonder if he'd actually show up. By the way, there are three seats still open for the August 29 bloggers' lunch with state Sen. Rosalind Kurita, Ford's blog-savvy rival for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate. Email me at bill-at-billhobbs.com if you would like to reserve one of those slots.

Also, I have been assured by former U.S. Rep. Ed Bryant's campaign, and by him personally, that he would be happy to be a guest at a future Nashville area political bloggers' lunch...

Love the Cosby reference - "weird" Harold - classic....or is that classy?
