« JS2 Live Blog | Main | JS2 Post-View » August 15, 2005Let Freedom RockSome folks are upset that the Pentagon is planning a support-the-troops rally for the fourth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks - and are criticizing the Washington Post for co-sponsoring it. Which seems a bit over the top as the WaPo exists because of the First Amendment and the First Amendment still exists because the American military has been willing to risk all for freedom for more than two centuries. The headliner for the concert is slated to be Clint Black, one of the finest country singers of recent years. Black's first album, Killin' Time, was in my opinion the best country album released in 1990 and one of the best of the entire decade. Some folks who don't like the war in Iraq don't like Black's song, Iraq and Roll. I love it. You can hear it here and even download it for your iPod or Mp3 player. Posted in War on Terror
