Gov. Phil Bredesen appointed Larry McMillan to be a chancellor for the 19th Judicial District in Clarksville when a vacancy occurred last winter. In addition to his outstanding credentials, we would note that he is the husband of state Rep. Kim McMillan, D-Clarksville, who also serves as the majority leader of the Tennessee House of Representatives. It should never be forgotten that the first people Bredesen's administration called in to ask what ethics reform legislation they would accept were lobbyists, and when they declared certain proposed and necessary reforms to be "off limits," Bredesen didn't object. He also packed his special commission on ethics reform with political insiders. ____________________________________________________________ For more scrutiny of the Bredesen record, see Bredesen Watch. This info is WAY OLD . . . nothing new about it. If you're looking for a story, why don't you look into Rep. Joey Hensley. He testified in court the other day that he's under investigation by TennCare for overprescribing painkillers - and he's fighting against the governor's plan to limit TennCare prescriptions . . . Way to go, Dr. Feelgood! No conflict of interest there. Posted by: Mitch at July 21, 2005 02:03 PMIt was in yesterday's Metropulse Mitch. Posted by: Lance at July 22, 2005 02:25 AMPost a comment
