Jeff Vanness of the Ed Bryant for U.S. Senate campaign sent the following email regarding Bryant and today's atrocious Kelo deicison eviscerating private-property rights.
Folks,
Something a little more official from Ed is coming on the Supreme Court's ruling today but here are my thoughts in the meantime and a reminder of an endorsement Ed earned in 2002.
The Supreme Court's ruling today on private property rights undercores the need to elect a proven, solid conservative to the U.S. Senate. We often discuss the importance of confirming judges who properly interpret the Constitution within the context of protecting our traditional Tennessee values, but this is an instance which shows how integral the federal judiciary is to all public policy issues. Ed Bryant is UNIQUELY qualified among Tennessee's Senate candidtates to win a seat on the Senate Judiciary Committee and work on the front lines for the confirmation of judges who adhere to a conservative, traditional view of limited government which protects the rights of citizens - including their rights to private property ownership.
In 2002, the League of Private Property Voters endorsed Ed Bryant for the U.S. Senate for good reason. Below is their statement of endorsement.

Here is the League of Private Property Voters's 2002 endorsement:
Bryant has scored 100% on the LPPV’s Vote Index in every one of his seven years in the House of Representatives, and has been named a Champion for Private Property each year since entering the House in 1995.
"Ed Bryant is a solid, dependable Congressman who has stood up for the rights of land owners through thick and thin. We know where he stands, and he has done a great job in Washington, DC. I strongly encourage Tennessee voters to send him to the Senate," said LPPV Legislation Chairman Donald Fife.
I'll keep you posted as to where the other candidates stand if they respond to my emailed questions regarding the Kelo decision.
