Statesmen Dinner

Looks like I might soon have the chance to meet Rob Huddleston, Knoxville's best new political blogger, as we'll both be at the Tennessee Republican Party's 2005 Statesmen Dinner Saturday night. I won't be live-blogging the event out of courtesy to my wife, who would be embarrassed, and my father-in-law, a former state party chairman who provided the tickets. But I may sneak my camera in, and a tiny digital audio recorder, and post some stuff later.

I'll echo Huddleston's reminder that, even if you aren't attending the Statesmen's Dinner, U.S. Senate candidate Ed Bryant has invited everyone to Presidential Room A at the Opryland Hotel after the dinner (around 8:30 P.M.) for dessert, coffee, and a chance to talk with him and his wife Cyndi.
