Bredesen Lied

It's a big scoop. Sharon Cobb has documented proof that Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen's administration has been telling lies about TennCare, playing politics with the program and with people's lives.

A six month investigation into TennCare reform has unearthed some startling documents and disturbing revelations about Governor Bredesen and his administration’s plans to blame the Tennessee Justice Center for the TennCare cuts, then as part of their political strategy, reenroll some of those cut from TennCare in 2006—before the election.
I urge you to read the whole thing. And watch the documentary.

Sharon emailed several supporting documents to a handful of Tennessee political bloggers, both liberals and conservatives. I'll be looking them over and adding my thoughts later today.

UPDATE: Blake Wylie notes the irony that the national Democratic Party let Bredesen make their weekly radio address two days ago, on the subject of Medicaid reform.

Matt White has more evidence of Phil Bredesen's abysmal record as an "effective manager" and urges Republicans "to put a horse in this race."

I am in east Tennessee and we don't always get the news from Nashville first hand and have to resort to the internet. I live in Cleveland, Tn and went to school at MTSU so I feel somewhat connected to middle Tennessee (well that and just being in the state of Tennessee LOL!) Any way, we have a whole thread on Bredesen and TennCare reform on www.hometowncleveland.com, it's free to register. I have never trusted the guy. I remember when I was going to school and his tenure as mayor of Nashville. I didn't like his politics then and I don't like his politics now. Thanks Mr. Hobbs for this informative column and I hope bredesenwatch.com is able to get up and running soon.
