Filibuster Frist

Sen. Bill Frist will not get my vote in the 2008 presidential primary. Absolutely not. And these guys are right: yesterday's deal on judicial filibusters, which wouldn't have happened if Frist was a strong leader, emphasizes the importance of electing a principled conservative to the U.S. Senate to replace Frist rather than a part-time Republican who often dances with Democrats.

I wish I could say that our state GOP was better than the national GOP, but the RINOs (Burchett, in particular) who kept Lt Gov Wilder in power demonstrate that the TN GOP is just as weak as the national GOP. Makes me want to puke.

Bill Frist is now the Minority Leader; the seven "Republicans" who agreed to this just gave the Democrats the majority.

A lot of folks have said that Frist's presidential hopes rested on his ability to get the judges through. I think he knew this too---which is why he looked like he'd been kicked in the stomach last night on tv. Poor guy--I do feel sorry for him. He took a knife to a gun fight and got his rear end kicked. It's like Charlie Brown, Lucy, and the footfball--they just never learn.

George Allen, who's been speaking on this hot judicial issue for quite a while, just watched his presidential stock shoot up.

Another candidate who can't be too happy: Van Hilleary. He brokered Senator Lindsey Graham visits at state GOP Lincoln Day Dinners around the state---and now Lindsey Graham is officially a John McCain Davidian. Van is probably praying no one will notice that he brought this milksoppy traitor into the state.

All 14 Democrats. 7 came out of the closet to shed their skins.

BOHICA courtesy of the Republican wing of the Federalist Party. The RINOs know there are 30% of the Rep. party that will vote conservatively every time. So the RINOs throw them a meaningless bone every now and again to keep them content. But on the issues that really affect American lives they join hands with the left and form the Federalist Party that will override any conservative or constitutional ideals in order to fuel the insatiable appetitie for power, control and wealth.

Speaking of "part-time Republicans who often dance with Democrats." . . . . I am collecting evidence of betrayals by RINOs and only have a few links. Got any to share?

Calling Lindsey Graham a RINO is asinine. That sounds like the spoiled frat boy Sena Hannity, whose childish rants are not those of a conservative. His attack interview with Sen. Graham ranks right down there with the despicable behavior of Helen Thomas. Disagreeing with one person on one issue means simply that--you disagree. This was one of those issues that was difficult for both sides, and now both sides seem to think they lost. Judge Owen was confirmed, however, something the hard left said would never happen.
