« Newsweak Update | Main | Boycott Pepsi » May 17, 2005Partisan Sideshow Sequels Planned
Once again the point is to mire constituents and the media onlookers in a partisan sideshow, therefore shifting the spotlight away from the issues that we as legislators in the Tennessee General Assembly can actually do something about. The Democratic leadership is waving charts and gas prices in one hand so that you don't notice that they are missing-in-action on TennCare, ethics indiscretions, anti-gun votes, etc.My guess is, the media mostly will ignore these partisan antics on the part of the House Democrats. The media will ignore it unless they are focusing on the Republicans' "theatrics" in opposing such wastes of time (much like the City Paper did the other day). Posted by: Blake at May 17, 2005 04:34 PMPost a comment
