Hooker Blogging

The Nashville City Paper turns in a cool story about John Jay Hooker's new blog, which he started just days after attending the BlogNashville conference.

"A short exposure to the convention convinced me that the Internet may save the Democracy in that it is a way for the people, for the citizens, to have some direct influence on the government," he said. "And it enhances a person’s vote in that it gives you the opportunity to express yourself in a way that in previous times was unavailable unless you happened to own a newspaper or a radio station."
Only one thing missing from the City Paper's story: A link to Hooker's blog.

Hooker, by the way, launched his blog with a rather strong post explaining how Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist could get what he wants - President Bush's judicial nominees confirmed - without resorting to the so-called 'nuclear option.'

Somebody please forward it to Frist.
