Dude: Having your blog's main page autoload and play a 7+ MB video file is a keen way to make sure people don't bother visiting your blog. I don't care how intense your pathological dislike for the House speaker -- get a grip.

Dude, the coding for the video is NOT set to autostart, and the post expressly says to click the "play" button to start the video. I have triple-checked this and the video is not and was not set to autostart.

You can verify this by doing a "view source" on the post in question, where you will find this within the video-embedding code:

Perhaps you need to get a grip.

The video autoloads when your home page renders in Opera. It doesn't autoload in IE. Usually when a page renders differently in Opera it is because there is non-compliant HTML involved (Opera is scrupulous on that) but I am not able to analyze your source to make a determination.

And in Firefox, the video player doesn't display at all, just the download link (and thanks for including that feature). Could you check the wmv file, I have downloaded it twice now and get a 'corrupted file' message just when it gets interesting...or is that a political commentary? +smile+

It plays fine when I play it in IE. I'll delete the embedded video and just leave the link, so as to not flummox the growing legions of Operatic browsers.
