So, I'm sorry, but what was your position on the anti-gay discrimination amendment that was introduced contrary to Constitutional rules and provisions again? Posted by: skb at May 4, 2005 06:46 PMSKB, the gay marriage amendment, which bans nothing and changes nothing but merely prevents judges from changing existing law (which guarantees the right of all Tennesseans, gay or straight, the right to marry one person of the opposite gender), was put on the ballot the same way the lottery amendment was put on the ballot, following all the same procedures. The attorney general ruled that the lottery amendment met the constitutional requirement of six months' notification, and a judge likely will rule the same of the gay marriage amendment.
