Taxpayers Bill of Rights Update

A few days ago I mentioned and commented on a Steve Gill column about the proposed Taxpayers Bill of Rights for Tennessee, but couldn't link to it. Now it is online, at Gill's website. Here's the link. By the way, I've been gathering fresh data and will be updating this two-year-old white paper on Tennessee's tax and spending structure and the Taxpayers Bill of Rights concept, over the next few weeks in preparation for a mid-May speaking appearance on the topic hosted by the League of Women Voters. So far, they've booked me and two representatives of the pro-state income tax/pro-higher taxes/pro-socialist government (and spectaculary misnamed) Tennesseans for Fair Taxation. The meeting is in Murfreesboro. Details later. I'm hoping a fellow blogger can attend and live-blog it.

I hope you remind them how little trust we have in our reps not to raise taxes again once their damnable income tax passes.
