I took this a week or so ago on the road from Thompson's Station on my way to Burwood. But I have one technical question: Do I get extra credit for including such a nice red cow?" Yes, Susan, you get extra credit for the red cow - for participating in barn-blogging, and for the red cow, you get not just one, but two free subscriptions to BillHobbs.com. Thank you for a great barn photo. Click image for a larger view.) Posted in Photoblogging

Great picture, Susan! Posted by: Blake at April 7, 2005 11:21 AMLooks like maybe an italics tag needs closing. Posted by: McGehee at April 7, 2005 01:21 PMO-o-o-okay, ignore my previous comment. ;-) Posted by: McGehee at April 7, 2005 01:24 PMYou call that a "barn"? That flimsy stand of popsicle sticks barely qualifies as a coop! The red cow makes up for it, though. Now THIS is a barn: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/0825426979/ref=dp_primary-product-display_0/102-0967625-3592122 *wink* (Not sure of the utility of a "barn" built to a 2000-year-old spec, but if you're gonna make the cover of "Better Barn and Barnyard" that would be the way to do it ...) Posted by: Barn Snob at April 7, 2005 06:36 PMSusan may I say that it is a very nice photo! but I don't think that is a barn. It looks like a shed of some sort and that red animal is a heifer not a cow. Livestock would not go into that little building and hay would not be kept there either. It was probably used to keep farm tools or some such. I have seen houses that didn't look much grander then that little building. This is the south you know. People used to live in houses with tin roofs which made an awful racket when it rained and now we have come full circle and tin roofs are once again being used. But today the they have bright green or red or blue colors. Posted by: yeula at April 7, 2005 07:56 PMNice pic, butthis is a barn! Posted by: Doyle at April 8, 2005 01:43 PMPost a comment
