Wishful Thinking

The Memphis Flyer reports on some wishful thinking in the Democratic field for the 2006 campaign for the U.S. Senate in Tennessee.

I liked this part:
"At $1,000 a head for the top ticket, the turnout might well have been good enough to reach the designated goal of $1 million – even making allowances for all the lesser players and outright comps on hand."

Meaning, since we didn't see a press release ballyhooing his "million dollar fundraiser," that he didn't reach his goal? Hmm....
