« Backfired | Main | This.Is.Nashville » March 20, 2005Palm SundayA very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting, 'Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!' "The road to Jerusalem ends at Golgotha," he reminds us. "Jesus had to become the Christ, and that meant enduring the cross. There are dark days of pain ahead before Easter dawns. The triumph of this morning will turn to ashes by Friday." And then to victory and hope two days after that. Posted in Religion
