This old barn is located off Lewisburg Pike near Mack Hatcher Parkway in Franklin, Tennessee, south of Nashville, on a small piece of farm property that has been for sale seemingly since shortly after the barn was new. Part of the property is in the Harpeth River floodplain, however, and the rest is hemmed in by a high-traffic road that very likely will be four-laned in the coming years. I was especially pleased by how well my Canon Digital Rebel camera and 28-135mm Canon zoom lens picked up the faint color in the trees on what was a very gray almost monochrome morning in the Nashville area on March 4, when the photo was taken.
