Dear Readers,
I have always had a standing policy against Andrew Sullivan-style pledge drives to raise money to support this blog. Sullivan is famous for having a twice-yearly "pledge drive" in which he threatens to stop blogging unless he raises a certain amount of money.
I don’t - and won’t - do that.
But I will make this simple request: If you read this blog regularly, please drop $10 in the tip jar every once in awhile. If you read this blog occasionally, please drop $5 in the tip jar.
I don’t intend to make my living via this blog, but there are financial costs associated with operating this site, and it does take a chunk of time. Currently, I am paying to have the site upgraded to the latest version of the MovableType blog publishing software, and paying to have the site’s first sub-blog, Lance Frizzell’s Lance in Iraq, redesigned.
A few tip-jar donations would help cover some of those costs.
