« Where's The Blog? | Main | Blogger Wanted » March 7, 2005Blogging: WKRN Gets ItCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I believe WKRN Channel 2, one of Nashville's news stations, has become the first mainstream media outlet to advertise on blogs. WKRN is running an ad here at HobbsOnline, and now also at the Nashville Scene's new blog and Blake Wylie's Nashville Files. They may also be advertising on some other Nashville-based blogs - if I spot any, I'll update this post. WKRN also has committed to helping support financially the BlogNashville conference set for May 5-7 , hosts a list of Nashville-area blogs on its website, and recently hosted Nashville-area bloggers for donuts and coffee on a Saturday morning. WKRN "gets" the blogosphere and the future of news media in ways that no other Nashville news operation does. Posted in Blogging & Journalism
