« And The Busiest News Website In Tennessee Is... | Main | More For Less » February 16, 2005Senate Race: Ford Jr. Will RunThe Hill reports that U.S. Rep. Harold Ford Jr. plans to run for the senate seat being vacated next year by Sen. Bill Frist. I think it's a mistake for the young Mr. Ford. Tennessee now leans Republican, and it will be difficult for any Democrat to win that seat. Ford has a seat-for-life in Congress, but he'll have to give it up if he runs for the Senate. And if he loses, then what? Posted in 2006 TN Senate Race

Junior is the MSM's darling, he has even FOX fooled into thinking he's a moderate. Boy they sure haven't bothered to look up his voting record. The CONSERVATIVE orgs like Eagle Forum, NRA, NTU, and American Conservative Union rate him as a typical liberal. ACU
I'm surprised, since everyone outside of Memphis gets him confused with his state senator uncle. Posted by: sbk at February 17, 2005 02:23 PMBut no one outside of TN does. Posted by: Lance at February 17, 2005 03:06 PMHopefully no one outside the state will be voting for the next US senator from TN. Posted by: sbk at February 17, 2005 04:32 PMGail, Were you saying these things about Mr. Ford when he was competing with Pelosi for House Minority Leader? It sure seemed no other conservatives were. All I heard was "The Democrats are so racist for not letting a black man become minority leader". I guess you weren't one of the people who used that line?
