Sticking To It

USA Today headline: Bush continues push for Social Security overhaul

Because it's been, like a whole three days now, and youddathunk he'd have given up by now, what with the media and the Democrats having already rejected it and all..

Is It the End of Camelot?

If we search the intellectual honesty of the Kennedy’s, posthumously know as Camelot, we remember John and Robert, and what they gave too their country. JFK understood tax cuts and defending his country and Robert defended the rights of others. But what about the last semblance of elitist buffoonery, Ted Kennedy? These days when he speaks, many are not sure why? Possibly the waters of Chapaquitic, or too many 12oz lifts have dulled his last sense of reasoning. When you parade with the ilk of Jesse Jackson and demonize another African-American Condoleezza Rice, this leaves many dumbfounded! Sometimes the politics must stop at the waters edge. Defining great moments is not Senator Kennedy's forte. Tainting the memory of his brothers, who gave all they had, for their country is a sad way to close Camelot.

I honestly don't think that Bush reads the MSM or pays them much attention. Not because he is stupid, but because he discounts their importance.

McAuliffe called Bush's approach a "selfish agenda" and said Democrats have a better approach for addressing the problems Social Security faces "down the road."

If Bill Clinton was proposing this idea, as he stated in a speech. What would the Democrats say then?
The approach to help you invest your money that will more than double your investment, should be your choice.
Almost all politicans will have extensive retirement plans, and SS will never affect their later years. If these politicans want to really work for the people, intead of worring about reelection, they will drop the partisan politics and formulate a plan that works.
Besides any politican that votes againt you having some control over your future, should be voted out!

All Bush is trying to do is complete FDR's vision.
