« A Bite of the Apple | Main | Tsunami Relief: "A Very American Thing To Do" » January 12, 2005Memogate: They Weren't LookingFrom Howard Kurtz's WaaPo media column today comes this bit of reaction to the report on CBS's use of fraudulent documents to slander President Bush, a report that lays out a mountain of evidence of political bias on the part of story producer Mary Mapes and then claims it could find no evidence that the story was motivated by a political agenda at CBS: CBS News Vice President Linda Mason, named to a new post overseeing broadcast standards, said the network faces a perception problem on the bias question, in part because the Mapes call to Lockhart "gives the impression you're working with a political campaign to help them."Yeah, probably. Except they weren't looking for something about Kerry and his past, were they? Posted in Blogging & Journalism

Well, gee, they could have investigated the Swifties' allegations instead of the swifties, couldn't they? A little heat on Skerry to release ALL his military records and the documents and names surrounding his medals, no? Instead, who did the lamestream send? Lawrence O'Donnell and his rant-to-end-all-rants against the swifties!!!!!!!! Posted by: KittyBurglar at January 17, 2005 05:09 AMPost a comment
