Tsunami: Stingy? We Sent Them A Lincoln

Via Chuck Simmins, keeper of The Stingy List, comes MurdocOnline's rather nice photo illustration of the little contribution the United States taxpayers are making for tsunami disaster relief.

If I were a devious UN official who wanted to stick the spurs into the United States to get them to donate more money, then what would I say about them to kick-start the process?

I suggest you go read Simmins' blog and educate yourself about the reality of our donations.

SemiPundit,

It sure would have been nice if he had done the same thing with Rwanda or Sudan. Both of which had more civilians killed by man made causes then the natural disaster of the tsunami.

So in my opinion the devious UN official is nothing more than a hypocritical chickens**t like the rest of that institution.

Cheers,

One has to wonder if the official didn't inadvertently become the top fundraiser for this aid project.

Oh, yes, that's how it all went down. Bush was going to give the $35 mil and let that be good, but then the word came...some UN bigmouth had criticized us! We can't let that stand! We'll give ten times that! Forget the facts! We were evil stingy SOBs but now we will shower them with money!

Honestly...if you want to be taken even a little bit seriously, you need to do some research before making such ridiculous statements.
