Frizzell, until he was called up, was press secretary for the House Republican Caucus in the Tennessee state legislature. Now he is with the 3rd Squadron, 278th Regimental Combat Team, Tennessee National Guard. The 278th was most recently in the news for the flap over the shortage of armor for Humvees. Frizzell emailed today: "We just arrived at our final location in Iraq. Looks like computer access will be excellent. We're in the NE quadrant of the country so we do have a few friendly local nationals around. But there's still mortar/IED activity. Just came from our 1st chapel service. Very inspiring." The blog is located at http://iraq.billhobbs.com. Comments
