I think you'd have much better success if you included a rate sheet, even if you indicated they were negotiable. Rates are a currently-discounted $50 per month for the ad slots at the top of the left and right sidebars and $40 per month for the slot lower on the left sidebar where the "Free iPods" ad is currently running. Currently available: Slots 2-5 on the right side, slots 2-3 on the top left (the ad that's at the top there now expires soon as well), and slots 2-4 below the Free iPods ad.
