A Random Sports-Related Thought

Random sports-related thought: When the Boston Red Sox were down three games to zero in the best-of-seven American League Championship Series to their nemesis the New York Yankees, what odds were the Las Vegas sports books giving on the Sox winning the World Series? And did anyone place a large bet on those odds?

I'm sure the odds were pretty high, if anyone had the guts to make such a bet at that time, they sure made a bundle.

For your benefit, I have avoided making any comparisons between the Red Sox's miraculous triumph and Massachussets native John Kerry's impending victory in the presidential election.

I heard on the Boston sports talk radio station, that you could get 40 to 1 odds from UK-based internet betting shops.
