Poor Bubba. He Can't Help It.

The South Knox babbler is unpleased with Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen, a very popular Democrat who isn't doing much to help John Kerry in Tennessee. Get over it, Bubba. Bredesen isn't so much a Democrat as he is a socially liberal businesscrat. He didn't get to 70%-plus in the polls in Tennessee by alienating Republicans. (SKB thinkgs it's funny to redirect traffic coming from my blog to FreeRepublic instead of to his blog. Actually, it's rather juvenile, but here's the link to cut-and-paste into your browser address bar: http://www.southknoxbubba.net/skblog/archive_2004_10.php#3599). Bubba, if you want to more fully understand Bredesen, read this.

As I said back on August 26:

No smart politician with a 70 percent-plus approval rating is going to tie himself to a sure loser. Some Tennesseans still recall how another very popular Democratic governor, Ned McWherter, found it to be a good day to go fishing when then-presidential candidate Michael Dukakis came to town.
As I reported back on May 27, Bredesen went out of his way to greet President Bush when Bush arrived at the Nashville airport on a campaign swing.

Hey Bill... I'm not sure Bubba's site change had anything to do with this post. Someone hacked his front page. It's fixed now.

South Knox Bubba and his intellectual superior Johnny Knoxville are both guilty of soiling the good name of my hometown. Not to mention the names Bubba and Johnny.
