New Ad Space For Sale

The surge continues as HobbsOnline has been read by 20,000 different people already this month, with two thirds of October left. With the site averaging 3,744 visits per day (AwStats), HobbsOnline is on its way to its best month ever, likely to top last month's nearly 50,000 unique visitors and 3,714 visits per day. I am currently looking for a sponsor who wishes to advertise long-term on HobbsOnline in a new ad slot - at the top of the center column on the home page and all internal pages. I plan on replacing the Google AdSense ads that currently appear at the top of the internal pages with a 400-pixel-wide advertisement slot by the end of the month. Starting Nov. 3, it also will appear at the top of the center column on the home page. The ad height will be a minimum of 65 pixels and a maximum of 75 pixels. I'm looking to sell the slot for a 6-month run, and accepting offers now. Below is an example showing the size of a 400x65-pixel.

I am also considering carving out a space for carrying one 30-second video ad on the blog. Pricing to-be-determined, but the space would be at the top of the right column, and the ad would play one time instantly upon the loading of the page.

The video ad - approxaimately the size shown in the example - would also appear on all internal pages of the blog, in the same location, and also play once when a reader clicked to an internal page. The advertiser would be allowed to have up to 10 words of text and a single hyperlinked URL below it. Pricing would depend in part on whether the video clip was hosted on the HobbsOnline server or on the advertiser's server.
