Here's an excellent timeline of JohnKerry's endlessly flip-flopping position on the war with Iraq.

no flips or flops, just quotes out of context and revisions of ideas due to being presented with new facts.

fliiper, if you don't think John Kerry has changed his position on Iraq several times, then you have not been paying attention.

Chris Matthews: “Do you think you belong to that category of candidates who more or less are unhappy with this war, the way it’s been fought, along with General Clark, along with Howard Dean and not necessarily in companionship politically on the issue of the war with people like Lieberman, Edwards and Gephardt? Are you one of the anti-war candidates?”
Sen. Kerry: “I am – Yes.”
-On MSNBC’s “Hardball,” 1/6/04

This truncated, out of context quote was the one that caused Chris Matthews to hit the ceiling. The period was really a comma, followed by "...in the sense that...". It was used in one of the RNC ads and earned his condemnation. He told them not to ever hijack material from his program again (for what that is worth).

This dishonest, deceptive, and shameless tactic has become all too common.

So what's the whole quote then? I find it unlikely that the whole quote makes him look much better.

Q: Do you think you belong to that category of candidates who more or less are unhappy with this war, the way it's been fought, along with General Clark, along with Howard Dean and not necessarily in companionship politically on the issue of the war with people like Lieberman, Edwards and Gephardt? Are you one of the anti-war candidates?

Kerry: I am -- Yes, in the sense that I don't believe the president took us to war as he should have, yes, absolutely. Do I think this president violated his promises to America? Yes, I do, Chris.

Q: Let me...

Kerry: Was there a way to hold Saddam Hussein accountable? You bet there was, and we should have done it right.

So how exactly does this make Kerry look any better? Posted by: Big Dog at October 6, 2004 11:20 AM

Kerrys has constantly lied and flip flopped the issues. Vote Bush.
