Voter Fraud Focused on Battleground States?

J.B. Williams at ChronWatch comments on the rising tide of attempted voter fraud:

The FBI is already investigating wide spread irregularities in ''get out the vote'' efforts led by the Democratic Party. Incidents of multiple voter registration cards being filed using the same address, or addresses that don't exist at all, or by people apparently unaware that their names have already appeared in the obituaries. Apparently, Bill Burkett, Dan Rather, and Mary Mapes are not the only people ready to commit fraud in order to see Bush removed from office. The heaviest activity seemed to be concentrated in the key battleground states. Ohio is an example, where current Democratic voter registration efforts outnumber Republican 5 to 1.
Ohio is a battleground state where Bush leads, narrowly, and is a state Bush almost certainly must win in order to win a second term. No wonder it seems of particular interest to those who would commit voter fraud.

Since 1987, voter registrations as Democrat have dropped from around 48% to 37%, so why are so many new registrations as Democrat?

Maybe the D's have such a dim view of democracy in Iraq and Iran because they hate it here as they get bounced from power. That's they key, really; the parallells are unmissable between the hysterics of the Deomcrat party and the insurgents in Iraq.

While I think its a stretch to compare the democrats to the insurgents in Iraq, it is interesting to note the hypocracy that they preach. They feel that Bush is a criminal and theif for 'stealing' the election, yet many of them are willing to commit overt legal acts in order to try and sway the vote. One such act is captured in a video circulating the internet showing someone defiling postal service literature with anti-bush sentiment. (http://www.ni9e.com/usps.html)

The same people who call for fair elections and against fraud believe that if they're losing, its because people are too stupid or the system is inherently 'rigged', so they feel justified in any action. It is unfathomable to them that perhaps their opinion is not in the majority, and if it isn't, they feel its because everyone is too stupid to know better.

'Daddy knows best' liberal politics at its worst.

Ed,

Perhaps they think that since the last election was "stolen" (not in my opinion nor finding of fact) they think it's okay to steal this one. Tit for Tat, as it were. I hope any cheaters get a rude awakening with summons and arrest warrants. Of course, that will be decried as Bush suppressing their (illegal) vote.

I hope the pundits come up with new and better words this time around. I'm sick of "disenfranchised".

Max,

That could have been the case if they had not been trying to cheat previous to this election. Look at the case of 'buying' the homeless vote with cigarettes in 2000 by a Gore supporter. All the way back to Chicago's 'fair' elections.

As for disenfranchising voters, funny how the pundits have little to say about the Network talking heads predicting Florida before the polls closed in the pan handle.

No matter how 'angry' people are with the President on Iraq, how can someone possibly justify a 5-1 disparity in new registrations when the approve/disapprove on the War is over 50% approve??
