War on Terror Hits Close To Home

If you live within an hour of Nashville, please take note of this email from Tennessee State Rep. Susan Lynn, who represents a portion of Wilson County, which is a suburb east of Nashville, and participate if you can.

Dear Friends,

cates.jpgLance Cpl. Tyler Cates, of Mount Juliet, died Monday in fighting in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Cpl. Cates is the first armed forces casualty in the War on Terror from Wilson County. Cpl. Cates, 22, graduated in 2001 from Mount Juliet High School. A wife and his parents survive him.

Cpl. Cates' body will be flown home to Tennessee tomorrow evening arriving 6:13 PM. His immediate family, the Mount Juliet Police and members of Rolling Thunder will escort his body from the Nashville Airport to Bond Memorial Chapel in Mount Juliet.

Please come and join members of the community as we meet his motorcade tomorrow night, at 6:45 PM, along Mount Juliet Road. We will line Mount Juliet Road in safe areas from I40 to Weston Drive holding our flags in honor of Lance Cpl. Cates sacrifice.

America and the freedoms you have and the blanket of security you sleep under all exist - and will continue to exist - because of people like Lance Cpl. Tyler Cates. Here is the Tennessean story about Cates.
