Memogate: Not CBS' First Lie

Memogate is not the first time CBS News has sought to promulgate a libelous lie related to the Vietnam War. A reader reminds me, via a comment to a previous post, about the time CBS libeled Gen. William Westmoreland - and got nailed for it. John B. Dwyer, a media historian, has more on that story at The American Thinker, and from Commentary.

You can read The Benjamin Report, which exposed CBS's failings and deceptive practices in the Westmoreland story, in a local library or buy Burton Benjamin's book, Fair Play, based on his inquiry via Amazon.
