Forgery Update

Donald Sensing has some more good information on the CBS memo-forgery scandal. If you think the memos are authentic because the IBM Selectric Composer existed in 1972 and could have produced them ... think again. Also, PowerLine has identified one of CBS' witnesses and provides evidence that he is not credible. And there's a new website, RatherGate.com dedicated to covering the CBS forgery scandal.

Here's an American Spectator article looking at what's happening inside CBS - and revealing that the Kerry campaign may indeed have been the source of the documents.

It's time for CBS to come clean and admit the memos are forged ... and tell the American people who in the Kerry campaign or the Democratic National Committee provided them.

UPDATE: A newly discovered memo from one of John Kerry's superior officers has recently come to light. It's a HobbsOnline exclusive... and I promise you I didn't create it on my home PC while blogging in my pajamas.

It's interesting to me that no one is working the angle that the Kerry team knew this was coming out before their convention. There's no other explanation for heretofor unexplained comedy act of Kerry going full boy-scout during the Democratic convention unless they knew their partner (Dan Rather) was holding the memos as a trump card.

This connection seems transparent to me.

The fact that they are forgeries is less interesting to me than the almost certain coordination of effort between CBS and Kerry to maximize the memos' impact.
