I've blogged news about Sao Tome several times before. Click here. The Bush administration's quiet diplomacy in this part of Africa is one of the under-reported stories in the War on Terror. If efforts to democratize the Middle East either don't succeed or don't result in a reduction of Islamist terrorism, sourcing our oil from pro-western non-Islamic countries like Sao Tome could be a good second option.
