See - I know that you are a patriotic American, but I also know that you are an excellent and loving parent to your kids. How much pain and sacrifice is this war worth to America's families? Greater love hath no man than to lay his life down for a friend. I would not ask my child to sacrifice his or her life for me - but if they chose to volunteer for the military, I would support them, honor them - and pray like mad for them. How much pain and sacrifice is the war worth? I dunno. There are times when I'd be glad to sacrifice the whole Middle East to ensure my kids grow up free from the threat of being car-bombed by a jihadist.
