Iraq in Pictures

I was browsing the PBASE.com photo galleries and collected links on several Iraq war photo galleries. Here are 11 links, with no commentary. Just offering you the opportunity to view the war in Iraq through the eyes of the brave Americans and British soldiers who are fighting it. If a picture is worth a thousand words, here's several books worth of news from Iraq unlike most of what Big Media provides.

You're right, after seeing those pictures I am convinced that everything that the boogieman "Big Media" has provided is a sack of lies. Everything is great over in Iraq!! So great, in fact, that I have a recommendation for you -- why don't you head on over there yourself before you send in your next report, so we can see what else "Big Media" has been hiding from us?

Sincerely,
666
Treasurer, 101st Keyboard Brigade Members for Truth (KBMT)

I feel safe when I look at the faces of these self-sacrificing defenders of liberty. Determined and aware, they truly are America's best.

My eternal gratitude to all our service members and to their loved ones for giving of themselves on behalf of protection and freedom for others.

Bill, I am humbled to have shared your pictures, what a story, and each worth a thousand words.

Jason over at Just Another Soldier has a good gallery, too. The site goes up and down because of OPSEC, but you can get email updates.

Thank you for posting all of these links. I am linking to the picture of the guys sleeping in the mud to remind people of what our soldiers have to tolerate while protecting us. Thanks.

Big words from "666," hey? Is everything peaches and cream? Nope, and I don't think Bill was suggesting they were. I DO think he was suggesting that the network newsies aren't covering "the good news."

After all, what's the famous phrase? "If it bleeds, it leads."

So mayhap Mr. 666, you might want to take your Keyboard Brigade and stick it in a happy place.

Sean is a Navy doc over in Iraq and has an extensive collection of photos he's taken over there.

Thank you for your efforts as we rarely see any pictures from Iraq in our region of the country, least of all anything positive. Please keep it up, we love these guys and gals, God bless 'em.

awesome. very cool effort.

Thank you so much. I've abandoned the MSM and gone to the blogosphere to find out what's happening - even for news here in the States. When are we going to turn our backs on the propagandist, liberal MSM and their mindless minions like 666? Hey, isn't that the "mark" of the anti-Christ?

Posted by: Mike at August 11, 2004 06:32 PM

Just a quick clarification: I didn't take any of these pictures - soldiers in Iraq did. I just found 'em on PBASE.com and thought more people should see them, so I blogged the links. Don't thank me - thank the soldiers! (And thank Instapundit who linked to this post even though I didn't ask him to)

Bill don't forget the Brits. A lot of those shots are of British soldiers.

Posted by: Chris Sandvick at August 11, 2004 08:38 PM

British too. Noted it in the post. Thanks!

Thanks for the views, my local Knight-Ridder rag simply re-prints the anti-war dribble coming out of the NYT propaganda machine, including mis-captioned pictures - at least they can't tell Marines from the Army - and they show more pictures of goons with RPG's than our guys, makes you wonder (or understand) who's side they're on.
