« The Right Test | Main | Hawks » July 26, 2004Movie ReviewHad a chance to see The Bourne Supremacy this weekend. I love spy thrillers, and enjoyed it a lot. I agree with this review and this review and this review of the film. My wife hated it for all the same reasons I enjoyed it. Now I've got to rent the DVD of The Bourne Identity, which I haven't yet seen. Posted in Miscellaneous

Wouldn't one need to see the first movie, um, first? Or can you see Supremecy without getting lost? I want to see both and want to ensure I get the most I can. Posted by: Sharp as a Marble at July 26, 2004 12:00 PMI've never read the books and didn't see the first movie first, and I wasn't lost. The second film does a good job of bringing the uninformed up to speed on the backstory very quickly. Still, it wouldn't hurt to rent the first on DVD and watch it, then go see the second. Besides, most reviews I've read said the second is better than the first, so watching them out of order might leave you feeling a bit let down by the first installment. Posted by: Bill Hobbs at July 26, 2004 12:48 PMHusband loved it. Posted by: Sandy P at July 26, 2004 01:23 PMA letdown in comparison to the first. This one relies even more on action than the first, but it is difficult to watch. $5 to anyone who can watch the climactic car-chase sequence and actually follow it... Posted by: Paul in Az at July 26, 2004 03:24 PMLiked 'em both. I was a little disappointed in the second one. And I agree with Paul...wasn't a huge fan of the helter-skelter photography.
