« Astonishing: Tennessee Tax Surplus Approaches $400 Million | Main | Nawlins » July 11, 2004Joe Wilson Lied. His Credibility Died.Joe Wilson, the former ambassador who claimed he'd proven that Saddam hadn't tried to buy uranium from Africa, is now proven to be lying on several counts. Oh, and there was plenty of American and British and French intel to back up the president's much-criticized claim in his State of the Union address in 2003 that Iraq sought uranium from Africa. Roger L. Simon calls Wilson's story a "symphony of mendacity" and says the press coverage of it from day one shows the press isn't liberal: These newspapers are no longer liberal, at least the way I would define the word. A true liberal opposes fascism with the very fabric of his soul. These people oppose Bush with the very fabric of theirs - far more important to them, it seems, than the possession of uranium by totalitarians. There's no greater indication of that than their gullible coverage of the Wilson/Plame affair - pathetic as it wasIt's been rather clear to me for more than a year now that Big Media and the Left care more about getting Bush out of office than they ever cared about Saddam being removed from power. Bush lied? No. Joe Wilson did. Repeatedly. Glenn Reynolds has all the links to all the people with even more links. By the way, Wilson is working for John Kerry. John, you have some 'splaining to do... Posted in War on Terror

Oh....JohnK will just say that Joe has a right to his own opinion, and that he (Kerry) has no control over that, just as he brushed off Whoppi's sadicious and x-rated performance the other night. And, for the liberal half, that's just fine, does not matter. It's just the freedom of speech that is important. John Kerry has proven that he will never "explain" any issue of intellectual importance, such as lying. He will only take the easy road and go with what is popular to the liberal left, and that is to do or say or condone anything that will make President Bush look bad and get him out of the White House. Period. Posted by: Lin at July 12, 2004 12:55 PMWhat exactly did Whoopi say about Bush anyway? I haven't found the quote, but I haven't looked very hard, either. Posted by: SemiPundit at July 12, 2004 01:36 PMI heard that she used a double entende play on the words "bush" and "shave". Use your imagination 'cause that's all I heard.
