« Seeing Red | Main | Tennessee's (Still) Lousy Driver License Law » July 2, 2004More WMD Found in IraqThe transcript of a radio interview with Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld reveals that more of Saddam's weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq - and the administration is still investigating evidence that some of Saddam's WMD were hidden in Syria. ROGER HEDGECOCK, Newsradio 600 KOGO: A couple of other issues I want to get to were weapons of mass destruction and the Supreme Court rulings. And so quickly, on the weapons of mass destruction, obviously, the opposition to the administration says we should never have invaded. The Bush administration lied about the WMD, never found any, never were any, etcetera, etcetera. Now, I'm reading recent reports in fairly easily accessible published accounts that Syria is holding the weapons of mass destruction or some of them, that others were destroyed, that others might still be hidden in Iraq, etcetera. What is the status on WMD? And if Syria is holding any of them and you guys know about it, how come we haven't heard about it?There WERE weapons of mass destruction. We HAVE found proof. The Left is LYING. Posted in Weapons of Mass Destruction

Sorry to spread lies on your fine site, but here's a memo you might have missed: "Sixteen rocket warheads found last week in south-central Iraq by Polish troops did not contain deadly chemicals, a coalition spokesman said yesterday" http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A24403-2004Jul2.html Where's your proof again? Posted by: oyster at July 3, 2004 04:25 AMHave you ever heard the term "burying the lede?" Keep reading the story, and you'll see it was determined that some of the warheads did have sarin. DON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ IN THE PAPER!! Posted by: Benjamin at July 3, 2004 01:10 PMAs a general rule of thumb, fact-check Walter Pincus' pink arse. Guy has a problem with telling stories straight. Posted by: Muqtada al-Saturday Night Live at July 5, 2004 07:55 AMThe Poles stand by their story. From a Tehran site, but it's AFP.
