Iraq to U.S.: Please Stay

Progress in Iraq as the new government, now fully legitimated by a unanimous U.N. Security Council resolution, says it will need foreign troops to stay in Iraq to help fight insurgents after the official June 30 end of the U.S.-led occupation. In other words, the Iraqis want us to stay. And, um, by the way the "unilateralist cowboy" Bush got unanimous support from the very multilateral U.N. Security Council for the Iraq resolution. The Iraq Democracy Project is now an international project sanctioned by the U.N. and the sovereign Iraqi government.

Iyad Allawi is a CIA "Asset". The CIA is a part of the Executive Branch of the US Government. Bush is head of the Executive Branch. Therefore, Allawi's request is like Bush talking to himself.

I thought he had gotten control of that quirk.

Adaplant,

You forgot to mention that bin laden is being held in chains in Allawi's living room, waiting to be sprung as Bush's October Surprise. You lefties are on to us! Yikes.
