I blame the Bush tax cuts. UPDATE: Today's new edition of Nashville Business Journal reports that the local economic recovery "has quickly blossomed into a broad upswing." The paper notes the economic recovery "is spreading its wings to take in virtually all sectors and indicators." Housing construction - a foundation of the economy - is especially strong. Story not online until Monday - I'll link to it then. A second NBJ story this week says passage of worker's compensation reform in the just-ended session of the state legislature "is already showing positive ramifications for business recruitment efforts" for the state of Tennessee, but doesn't give specifics.
