I think the cartoon is in poor taste, and I understand that it is one person's opinion. But I think the point is missed.

It is not for us to question the actions of one who follows his beliefs, only to respect his right to do so.

Tillman was in the right country, supporting what we thought was the original plan to demonstrate righteous power.

No one will convince me that Tillman's sacrifice was any greater or deserving of more praise than the least of those we have lost. I can picture a young man getting up one morning, leaving his modest home at the end of a dirt road, and reporting for duty from which he will not return. All he really expected of life was to keep a decent job and watch his children grow up.

SemiPundit: There is no doubt that all of the other soldiers and their families who have sacrificed are as much heroes as Pat Tillman.

But the Rall comic was beyond the pale; it was much worse than just being in poor taste. The Rall comic is not only an insult to Tillman's family and Tillman's sacrifice, it is an insult to all of our military men and women.
