FactCheck Slams Kerry For Ad "Deception"

FactCheck.org exposes John Kerry's latest lie, examining a new Kerry TV ad that "puts words in Bush's mouth that Bush never uttered."

Mr. Kerry should be more careful when he makes such assertions. He should appreciate accuracy in reporting what people say in the light of his own treatment at the hands of Wesley Pruden and Sean Hannity. Each willfully and deceptively misquoted his 1971 Senate hearing remarks by the insertion of ellipses, thereby changing the nature of what he actually said.

What exactly is Mr. Bush's personal assesment of the value of outsourcing?

Also, I have asked here before if anyone could characterize the nature of the new class of jobs to which we may aspire after the substandard ones are exported via the internet. It seems to me that reading X-rays, and doing engineering design are hung pretty high on the tree. What are the new jobs that I can advise young people to train for?

Shorter Bill Hobbs: FactCheck good when taking Kerry to task. FactCheck unreliable and inaccurate when criticizing Bush.

JG,

Why do you say that? I've seen nothing on this site that says FactCheck is inaccurate.

Is anyone inclined to offer answers to my two questions?

Kerry is now letting Ted Kennedy be his mouthpiece, whilst he figures how to use his articulate pseudo-intellectualism on politics. So basically were on a crazy train here with the Librocrits. Teddy crying "quagmire ala vietnam" in Iraq and Kerry using his pseudo-intellectualism to turn his knowledge of outsourcing economics and what the president actually said into his own career "Chappaquidick". Maybe the Dems can ditch Kerry and buy off Nader as their "choosen one". If what the Dems say is true about Bush "stealing the election" then all those Dems that voted for Nader in 2000 could work in their favor this time.

Perhaps if you guys bothered to read anything other than the pro-Bush diatribe, you would have noticed the other articles on FactCkeck.org denouncing Bush's own ads. Just browse back through the archive and you'll see the huge disperity in the number of misleading ads coming from the Bush campaign. Here is just a few....

Bush is a shill for big oil, the Saudi Royal family, and defense contractors. With the exception of Colin Powell, his entire administration can't stand up to even the weakest scrutiny. Just look at his performance at the press conference last week. It was an abosolutely pathetic presentation from the leader of the free world.

For anybody who wants to learn more, I'd suggest you check out www.GregPalast.com or listen to Air America Radio.
