And the ads are effective - one marketer reports selling 1,000 copies of a Christmas CD after running $450 worth of ads on blogs - a very good return on his investment. The story shows how the growth of the blogosphere is making the online publications more and more attractive to advertisers. The blog ad trend is far enough along that at least one company has sprung up to serve the market: Pressflex LCC. The Chapel Hill, N.C., company's Blogads service connects advertisers with a network of bloggers, charging 20% for its efforts. So far, it says it has placed ads on about 200 blogs.Some blogs charge hundreds of dollars per week to run an ad.
