The Rocky "Gets" Blogging

rmnlink.JPGThe list of newspapers that "get" blogging is rather short, but you can add the Rocky Mountain News to it: The RMN recently took the step of providing a link from their opinion page to a weblog offering a round-up of Colorado bloggers' work under the title Rocky Mountain Blog Roundup. The link goes to the homepage of WalterInDenver.com. It's a good start and RMN published and editor John Temple is on the right track.

I'd suggest to Walter in Denver that he file future Rocky Mountain Blog Roundups in a special "RMBR" category - activate your "category" archives feature of MovableType, Walter! - and then I'd suggest to Temple and the Rocky Mountain News that they link to that specific category page within Walter's website. That's short term. Long term, the paper ought to hire a journalist blogger to blog the blogs. I know one who would love the job, but he's going to be busy in an MBA program for tthe next couple years...
