ABC Deceives on Palin Interview

Four years ago, CBS used a faked document to try to smear President Bush and derail his re-election campaign. It didn't work because CBS's fraud was exposed. Now, ABC is playing a similar game by deceptively editing the video of their interview with Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin to misrepresent what she said.

ABC ought to release the full video of all of its interviews with Palin, so that the American people can be sure the network isn't spreading a biased and false story.

And ABC isn't the only major elite media outlet publishing false, inaccurate and misleading stories about Palin. NewsBusters.org is spotlighting as many examples of the anti-Palin media as it can find. Here's one.

Exit question: Was the elite media this atrociously biased and deceptive back before average Americans had Internet tools to sandbag the lies and contain them behind a levee of blogs, YouTube and other new media? Or is the fact that average Americans now have such power to push back against the flow of falsity causing the elite media to spew an ever-growing amount of lies in hopes of eventually over-topping and breaching those levees?

Of course bidinotto fails to mention that the transcript of the interview is available online, for all to view. Nothing deceptive about it at all.

This is the problem with the "box theory" Republicans are painting their followers into. They first convince that everyone is lying to you except for A and B. Then they use A and B to influence your thought process.

The MSM has given Palin a pass for the past two weeks about her lie regarding the Bridge to Nowhere but I don't see any rants about it here.

The last night of the convention a commentator on National Public Television said they would know more about Palin after she was "interrogated" (not interviewed) by reporters. Earlier in the day NPR presented facts about Palin saying "our report shows" but not the basis for the report. The short segment of President Bush's address to the convention I saw on NBC showed him speaking from the White House with no convention noise thus there was silent during the applause making him look like a dunce.

Note how reporters' interviews of Republicans are adversarial while they treat Democrats as friends. And how there is more time devoted to tearing apart Republican proposals and positions that given the proposals and positions.

This is not new but it is becoming more obvious. One wonders if they will take responsibility for the disaster of an Obama Presidency should he win.

Actually, I did write about the Bridge to Nowhere story. She told the truth.
