Pow!

Rob Shearer reviews the new Batman flick. I've gone from wanting to see it to not wanting to see it to, now, thanks to Rob, wanting again to see it.

I, too, saw this Batman two times (so far). Rob Shearer's review was pretty dead on. Unlike my other favorite "honor & integrity" movies like Gladiator and The Last Samurai, this Batman story (VERY) dramatically reveals the true inner workings of Christian philosophy in a real world backdrop.

Life IS about choices and the Devil is always playing the "Joker", betting on the dark side of human nature to put us one choice away from the moral destruction spiral so common in today's society. I believe we call it the "slippery slope". Oh, the glee that the Devil must have watching us time and time again living up to his expectations.

If our leaders in faith are smart, they will jump on the discussion bandwagon. Teenagers all across America are enthralled by this film, now is the time to start the dialogue. Our future may just be a little brighter if they learn the lessons outlined in this film.

Wouldn't it be great if we didn't have so many (post accident) Harvey Dent's in office today?!

(And from a movie junkie point of view, Heath Ledger was absolutely brilliant in this role. Top 5 characters of all time!)
